Jahanna Nichols is a dream to work with.
We had a not so great experience in the past with another designer and was a bit hesitant to start the process all over with someone new. Boy, are we thankful we found Jahanna. She is very attentive and responds quickly to any of our questions and concerns. She keeps us on track making sure we make decisions and stay in top of deadlines to ensure our project stayed on track. She has a keen eye for architecture and overall design. She took our words and thoughts and put them down on paper and then into real life in a way we could not have done on our own. She was able to mix new pieces as well as one of a kind vintage finds in order to deliver the eclectic home design of our dreams. We are so grateful to have found Jahanna and will continue to use her on future projects and recommend her to anyone looking for a designer.

Jahanna has done multiple projects for me over the years.
Including two bathroom design and remodels, a complete kitchen/dining room design and remodel (down to the studs on all of these) and multiple accent rugs, furniture, etc. Her attention to detail and her understanding of all usable space and what I wanted and needed are second to none! The contractors that I worked with were also very impressed with her designs and drawings. I highly recommend her! I have already recommended her to multiple friends and they have loved her too!
I’ve been working with Jahanna for 3 years now however I feel like it has been many more because of the beautiful work she had done on our home prior to us living there. We live in a 1931 Spanish home and Jahanna respects the history and character and understands that it is very important to our family. I always know that the decisions we make together are in line with the integrity of the era. She took the seemingly impossible task of turning 650 square feet of space into a full use guest house with all rooms having a good amount of space! The final guest house exceeded our expectations as she was able to design a traditional feel, yet with modern elements without costing a fortune. The interior design also exceeded all of our expectations and we could not be happier. Will definitely work with her again on our future projects!

Unless you have innate design sense (I don’t), I can tell you that hiring Jahanna will give you exceedingly successful results and actually save you money in the long run.
I made the mistake of trying to re-do my dated living room by myself, and I wasted money for something that looked even worse than before I had started. Then I hired Jahanna and “tested her out” on smaller problem areas in my house before we undertook the living room, just to see what it was like (I had never hired a designer before). She looked at the areas and instantly knew ways that they could be fixed. She used what I already owned as much as possible, in ways I never realized could work so well. In some rooms, all it took was better window treatments and a bedspread, and she always helped me choose these to coordinate with everything else. The living room was more work, but she was super collaborative and enabled me to get high quality designer furniture and a custom couch that I truly love using her design discounts. I’m so glad I used her, and can’t recommend her highly enough!

Our first opportunity to work with Jahanna was in 2012 following a significant remodel of our home.
Working in coordination with our architect and project manager, she helped us select new furnishings, carpeting, paint, window and wall coverings, and fabrics for re-upholstering existing pieces. The work involved our living room, den, master bedroom and bathroom. We were delighted with the results and had a great experience working with Jahanna. She maintained excellent communication with us as the project progressed, and her attention to detail was outstanding. She listened to our needs and understood our tastes and preferences, as well as our budget, merging the new with existing furniture and accessories for a beautiful, harmonious result.
Recently we decided to update a guest bedroom, powder room, and our dining room, and we again reached out to Jahanna for assistance. Although this was a smaller project, Jahanna provided the same level of support and attention to detail as we had experienced in the past. We were particularly pleased with the design choices she presented for this project. She showed us options that we had not considered, and not only were they less expensive than what we had in mind, but the finished results far exceeded our expectations. Rooms that were dark and dated now look fresh and new with the “refresh”…. we could not be any more delighted with the results.
